Effective oil and gas company management investment decisions demand that the data used in well and reservoir evaluation is both reliable and appropriate. Unfortunately, many well data sources are too often reviewed and evaluated in isolation, other data sources may provide conflicting or contradictory interpretations. For example, log analysis data requires core measurements to calibrate or interpret the log response. eP engineers have substantial practical experience in the acquisition, analysis and interpretation of open-hole log data, having worked for some of the leading data acquisition companies throughout the world, and supervised many logging runs. Our particular strengths lie in the integration of open-hole log data with core analysis and wireline formation test data. We have been able to reconcile log data with core data, which before appeared wholly incompatible, through a detailed understanding of the sensitivities of the log and core measurements to reservoir, fluid and rock parameters.
