EPS Products: The Definitive History

EPS began as Edinburgh Petroleum Development Services (EPDS) in 1983 by the staff of the Petroleum Engineering Department at Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh. The company slowly expanded its global reach and tool belt as their client list and expertise grew. EPDS was reorganized in 1989 as Edinburgh Petroleum Services Ltd. to adjust to the rapid growth of the organization and the increasing reach of their products, training, and consulting services.

EPS gained international respect and a solid reputation as the leading developer of well testing and production optimization software. Major oil companies in the US, Europe, the Middle East, Australia, Asia, and Latin America use EPS software to optimize production at the well, reservoir, and field levels. As a result of the acquisition in 2004 by Weatherford International, EPS Products are now part of a larger development and support effort, eProduction Solutions (eP).

In complement to cutting-edge software, the EPS Products group includes training and consulting services from our Edinburgh offices, global field offices, and other Weatherford training facilities.
