PanMesh™ 2010 Software
Well test analysts need a numerical simulator to reach beyond the limits of analytical simulation to handle complex situations like irregular or complex boundary geometries, multiple layers, multiple completions, rock, and fluid heterogeneities. The PanMesh application, a true three-dimensional well test simulator fully integrated into PanSystem® software, meets all of these needs. It fulfills the same basic simulation objectives as the analytical quick match and advanced simulators available in the PanSystem application in terms of model validation and test design, and occupies a similar place in the workflow, but has a far greater modeling capability.
What is new for version 2010?
Improved graphical interface and entry point from PanSystem software providing a closer link between analytical and numerical work flows allowing intuitive uptake of the PanMesh techniques.

How does this tool help improve job performance?
| Operators |
- Numerical analysis can provide insight to complicated or difficult to interpret analytical work flows
- It enables modification and investigation of a theoretical response to improve an analytical match to a reservoir response and hence structure
|
| Engineers |
- Improved interface and use to help bridge the gap between the wealth of experience in the analytical domain and limited experience in the numerical domain
- PanMesh’s color visualization facility offers a deeper understanding of the nature of the transient response by tracking the pressure transient as it propagates through the reservoir
- Enables the analyst to see how changes in the model structure correlate with changes in the pressure derivative
