Desktop Intelligence with the PCP Solution

Weatherford's PCP software solution gives the operator the ability to optimize the progressing cavity pumps by accurately monitoring specific system parameters. It works with fixed and variable speed motor controllers and allows the user to identify and assess problems as they occur and predict future problems.

Weatherford's PCP software solution monitors and trends all available inputs at user-preset intervals. These trends are updated in near real-time, allowing the user to identify developing problems and take corrective action before a simple problem develops into a serious failure.

The PCP software solution collects real-time pressure information from permanent downhole sensors. With the solution, the operator can remotely identify the difference between a hole in the tubing, a worn pump, and with a few calculations, even identify the location of the tubing hole.

Weatherford's total solution provides wellsite intelligence, historical references, and remote optimization. At times, the VFD/sensor solution can react to changing fluid levels and return to normal operations without the operator knowing that there was a problem. With the data logger storing the short term data and the remote software collecting, trending, and providing analytical displays of that data, the user is aware of temporary changes of the system. These changes can be compared over time to identify trends, providing a method to predict potential problems and take proactive action to avoid impending expensive repairs.
