Well Controlled Solutions

eP's Well Controlled Solutions are based on decades of experience in this industry and are comprised of Wellhead Control Systems, Subsea Systems, Workover Control Systems, and Control Services. Our control systems include wellhead, process, pipeline, and ESD control, as well as self-contained hydraulic power units (HPUs) and injection systems. The wellhead control solutions also include our Workover and Control Systems (WOCS) and our Subsea Production Control System, which is a modular design concept incorporating well proven technology and qualified components to minimize both CAPEX and OPEX costs. The Subsea Control Module is designed as either an ROV or diver installable.

Control Systems

eP's control systems are based on 30 years of hydraulic and pneumatic control systems experience throughout the world. These systems include wellhead, process, pipeline, and ESD control, as well as self-contained hydraulic power units (HPUs) and injection systems.

eP can provide the complete solution for wellhead control and automation. A wellhead control panel supplies the necessary hydraulic pressure to operate the SSSV (sub surface safety valve), the SSV (surface safety valve) and the WV (wing valve). Data from the well site can be transmitted via an eP RTU situated in the wellhead control panel, to a host SCADA system. Remote operation of the valves is also possible via the host system.

Power for the complete package can be from a local electricity supply, air supply, solar panels or the flowline gas.

Subsea Control Systems & CALM Buoy

In addition to surface well control systems, eP offers subsea control systems based on years of hydraulic and subsea engineering experience. eP specializes in the design, engineering, and fabrication of subsea control systems.

Subsea Production Control System

eP will work with the tree manufacture to provide complete subsea control system packages, including the umbilical hose reels and termination junction plate assemblies.

eP’s electro-hydraulic subsea control system is a modular design concept incorporating well proven technology and qualified components to minimize both CAPEX and OPEX costs. It is an integrated system that provides the requisite monitoring, control and shutdown functions by means of multiplexed electro-hydraulic control. The control uses communications through the power line between a surface master control station and subsea control module, via a composite services umbilical and appropriate subsea distribution units.

When offloading is required a CALM buoy can be used. Remote operation of valves is required complete with data acquisition from the buoy, which can be rate of approach, hawser loading, etc. eP can offer this package which includes a hydraulic power unit, buoy situated RTU, communications, solar power and navigation aids, therefore providing the complete solution from the subsea wellhead to the tanker.

Workover and Control Systems (WOCS)

The subsea workover control systems are designed to control a single well from directly above the subsea tree via a workover barge. The system is a direct hydraulic system complete with hydraulic power unit, valve controls, an umbilical hose reel with umbilical and termination junction plates.

Service, Spares, Support, and Training for Control Systems

The key ingredients to the successful implementation of any field service startup, commission and availability are service, support, and the supply of spare parts.

These services are available on an individual basis or as part of a TVM (Total Vendor Maintenance) program that may be required by the customer. eP has established the service and technical support group which focuses on maintenance and customer care.
