PDF Documents eProduction Solutions' (eP) training courses are widely recognized as a key element of technology transfer ensuring the sustainability of performance improvements achieved via the implementation of software and services. eP has developed a comprehensive training program to ensure maximum benefit from our solutions. A major guiding philosophy behind eP's training courses has been to make them relevant and of practical use to the engineer. Each course, therefore, features a number of worked examples, which vary from hand calculations to the use of interactive software packages. The result is that each attendee goes away from the course with theoretical knowledge and practical skills, the ideal prerequisite for joining a new team or taking on new responsibility in today’s increasingly multidisciplinary environment. The courses are characterized by their practical engineering nature as well as their theoretical content. The courses are presented by qualified eP staff engineers, each of whom has an established reputation in teaching petroleum engineering as well as retaining a fully operational role as a practicing engineer involved in current eP consulting projects. Training ScheduleSoftware User Training CourseseP provides a selection of training courses for engineers working with our line of Case Products (csLIFT™ and LOWIS™ software) as well as our line of EPS Products (PanSystem™, WellFlo™, and ReO™ software).
These user courses provide basic instruction in the operation and navigation through the software package, with practical examples used to illustrate the software functionality. These courses last between 1 to 5 days, depending on individual client requirements, and assume that participants are conversant with the underlying petroleum engineering technology. The user workshops provide a more expanded view of the software coupled with some theoretical background. Practical examples form the backbone of the workshop, and it is possible by prior arrangement to include actual field examples from the client's own experience. Each workshop lasts five days. Production Optimization Training CoursesAdditionally, eP provides a production optimization training program that is structured into several technical areas, each dealing with a particular aspect of petroleum engineering. In each of these areas there is a choice of courses available to reflect different levels of expertise as well as different subject matter.
We are constantly updating and varying the mix of our class offerings to coincide with industry trends and client requests. The following are classes that have been offered in the past and may become available with sufficient trainee interest:

On-Site TrainingAny one of eP training courses can be provided on an “in-house” basis, which offers a cost efficient and versatile method for training a large group of individuals within an organization at a location of their choice. Since 1997, eP instructors have provided over three hundred and fifty weeks of invited in-house training to individual companies throughout the world. The timing of in-house courses is flexible in order to accommodate the client’s requirements and often the content of the course can be tailored to meet a specific requirement or application. eP has also run in-house courses for individual companies with invited participation of individuals from other companies in the same locale. This option of “sponsoring” a course reduces the cost for the sponsoring company and has proven to be a popular option in several oilfield locations.
