Well Test Analysis Training

Current Course Schedule:

Objective:

This course covers the basic theory and practice of well testing. It is intended for engineers, geologists and other technical staff who are, or may become, involved in the design, supervision or interpretation of well tests. The course is valuable for those with no previous experience in well testing, and also as a refresher for those whose experience does not include modern analysis techniques.

Course Description:

The course covers the basic elements of well test analysis methodology and the theory on which it is based. The major parameters derived from well tests are introduced for the principal classes of reservoir the student will encounter. The course contains many practical, hand worked examples to develop skill and confidence in performing simple routine analyses. The course has also been designed to reflect the universal acceptance of computer-aided interpretation methods and participants will analyze field examples using state-of-the-art PC-based software.
